Mid-Week Updates from Dr. Gayle,  Proud Principal

We have had another great week at James S. Rickards High School! Our
scholars are working hard and preparing for the end of the semester.
Please remember that we will have early release days again this year. Our
scholars will attend school from 8:00 AM – 12:40 PM on December 17 – 19,
2008. I will share more of the details concerning the exam week/early
release day schedule with all scholars, parents, and James S. Rickards
High School supporters next week.

Please be reminded that our scholars will not be in school on Wednesday,
November 26 – Friday, November 28, 2008 in observance of Thanksgiving.
School will resume on Monday, December 1, 2008 at 7:55 AM. On behalf of
all faculty, staff, supporters, and scholars of James S. Rickards High
School, we wish you a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

Financial Aid Night
We are proud to announce that our Financial Aide Night will take place on
December 9, 208 at 6:00 PM in the James S. Rickards Media center. This
insightful presentation is designed to help our families complete the
federal financial aid application (FAFSA) and find out other important
information about funding higher educational opportunities. Please call
our guidance department at 488.1783 for more information.

Best & Brightest Scholarship Information
Information concerning the Best and Brightest Scholarship program is
available in our Guidance Department or online at
www.bestandbrightest.org . The deadline to submit an application for
nomination to Mrs. Harriet Williams (in our Guidance Department)is on
January 29, 2009.

Fall Blood Drive
Hats off to all of our scholars, faculty and staff members who made our
Fall Blood Drive a huge success! Our school community is dedicated to
serving the greater needs of our Tallahassee Community and this way of
thinking came to life through a highly successful Fall Blood Drive.  Way
to go, Raiders!
