Message from Dr. Michelle Gayle, Proud Principal of JSRHS

Happy New Year, Raiders! I sincerely hope that your Winter Holidays were
relaxing and full of family activities. We are excited about starting our
second semester of the 2008-2009 school year. Our scholars came back ready
to learn and take advantage of every instructional moment that lies ahead.
Our teachers greeted our scholars with engaging instructional experiences
that will serve to take them to the next level.
Please remind your scholars that it is very important for them to attend
school on time every day. This simple rule of thumb directly relates
success in the “real world” after high school. As I counsel with our
scholars, some of them report that they are struggling with the content of
a particular class. Please be reminded that most of our teachers are more
than willing to work with scholars before school and after school to
ensure their success. We also have tutors who work within our 21st Century
Learning Program to assist our scholars. We are committed to the overall
success of every learner at James S. Rickards High School. As always,
please do not hesitate to call upon me if I can assist you with any
matter. Have a positive day and keep expecting GREAT things from the
RAIDERS!

REPORT CARDS GO HOME WITH EVERY RAIDER ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 14, 2009!
