Dear Leon County Schools Community and Stakeholders,

In an effort to meet the needs of our LCS students, we are pleased to provide calendar options for the next TWO school years. These two options were created based on the input of various stakeholders (students, faculty, staff, parents and community partners).

Please review the attached calendar options (within the survey link) for the 2021 - 2022 and the 2022 - 2023 school year.


Highlights for each calendar option are as follows:

Option 1 (2021 – 2022)
                                                ●    Students, teachers and staff report on November 22 and 23,
                                                   2021
                                                ●     Early Release Days December 15, 16 and 17, 2021
                                                ●     Early Release Days – May 23, 24 and 25, 2022
                                                ●     School year ends on Wednesday, May 25, 2022
Option 2 (2021 – 2022)
                                                ●    Thanksgiving Holidays for students and teachers –
  November 22 – 26, 2021
                                                ●    Early Release Days – May 23, 24 and 25, 2022
                                                ●    School year ends on Wednesday, May 25, 2022

Option 1 (2022 - 2023)
                                                ●     Students/teachers and staff report on November 21 and 22,
                2022
                                                ●     Early Release Days December 14, 15 and 16, 2022
                                                ●     Early Release Days – May 22, 23 and 24, 2023
                                                ●     School year ends on Wednesday, May 24, 2023

Option 2 (2022-2023)
                                                ●    Thanksgiving Holidays for students and teachers –
         November 21 – 25, 2022
                                                ●     Early Release Days – May 22, 23 and 24, 2023
                                                ●     Ends school year Wednesday, May 24, 2023

school year calendars. This link will remain open until 5:00 pm on Wednesday, February 3,
2021. Our District Advisory Council will review final information in order to make a
recommendation to our School Board on February 9, 2021.
