Today, we received notice that one of our students tested positive for COVID-19.  The Leon County Department of Health has conducted a contact tracing investigations. Unless you were contacted by them directly no further actions will be required. Unfortunate as they are, these exposures illustrate the importance of everybody doing their part to mitigate the transmission of this virus: remaining home while ill or waiting for test results for Covid-19, keeping surfaces safe and sanitized, using adequate hand washing, wearing masks, and ensuring social distance. We take our dedication to the welfare of your faculty, staff, and students seriously and are working closely with the Department of Health of Leon County to follow CDC recommendations and best practices through this period.
