We have been talking all year about our Fifth Annual trip to New Orleans
for the Jazz and Heritage Festival and now the time to sign up is here!
Please read this entire message for all the information you need before
deciding to come with us.

We will leave from Lincoln High School on Friday, May 2, at 4:30am on a
charter bus and go directly to the Fairgrounds for Jazz Fest. The festival
runs from 11:00am - 7:00pm and we then leave for dinner and go to our
hotel. We will be staying at the Hilton Garden Inn in Kenner, LA, just
outside New Orleans. On Saturday morning we will have breakfast in the
hotel and then leave for the French Quarter where we will take a walking
tour with New Orleans tour guides and then have time to explore the French
Quarter with a chaperone. Saturday afternoon we will have one final
activity that is still being scheduled but afternoon activities in the past
have included a cruise on the Steamboat Natchez down the Mississippi River,
a private concert at Preservation Hall and a trip to Jean Lafitte, LA.

The total trip cost this year is $275 per person and our bus only seats 40
people. The cost will cover your ticket to Jazz Fest, our Jazz Fest Tour
Shirts, charter bus, hotel cost, tour guides in the French Quarter and our
afternoon activity. Students will be responsible for all meals and any
extra spending money they might need. In order to hold a spot I will need
payment in full and I will start taking money next week. Fourth year
chorus students may bring money in on Monday, March 31, third year students
may bring it in Tuesday, April 1 and second/first year students may bring
it in Friday, April 4. We will have spots for chaperones as well and the
cost will be the same. You can visit http://www.nojazzfest.com/ for more
Jazz Fest information, including the music schedule for May 2.

Please e-mail me ASAP if you have any questions.

Laissez les bon temps roulez!
