This Thursday, January 16, at 4:00 in the media center the faculty reading
committee will be holding their monthly meeting.  One of the topics of
discussion will be our AR program.

The Accelerated Reader (AR) program here at Hawks Rise has seen great success
in raising the reading comprehension scores of our students over the years,
primarily because it has been implemented according to the recommendations of
the AR Model Reading program.  Because not all schools choose to follow this
plan, some parents may have questions about why we do AR as we do.

Parents who are interested in learning more about how our Accelerated Reader
program is organized are welcome to come and join us that afternoon.
