Just a reminder that the Stanford Achievement Test/Ninth Edition (SAT/9)
will be given to our 1st and 2nd graders this week. Testing will begin on
Tuesday and end on Friday. Each day the children will have about 40
minutes of testing.
You can help your child do his or her best by getting them to bed early
each night, being sure they have a good breakfast, and getting them to
school each day on time. Try not to make them anxious about the test.
This type of test not only tells us what they know, but also gives us
important information about what we still need to teach them. No one is
expected to get every answer correct.
Children who are relaxed and confident tend to do the best on tests like
these. Their teachers have worked hard to prepare them, and we are sure
they will do well. We appreciate your support at home!
