Dear Families,

We at Hawks Rise are so blessed to be surrounded by phenomenal staff and
teachers! To honor all of their hard work, we are celebrating National
Teacher Appreciation Week at Hawks Rise during the week of May 5th. Outlined
below is how you can help show your teacher just how special they are. In
addition to the activities below, the Teacher Appreciation Committee will be
providing meals and special gifts throughout the week.

MONDAY, MAY 5TH – "FLOWER AND CARD DAY."
Each child is invited to bring their teacher a handmade card and/or a flower.
The flower does not have to be fancy. A simple flower from the yard will be
great. Your Homeroom Mom is providing the vase for your teacher's bouquet.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 7TH – "BOOK AND SUPPLY DAY."
Each child is invited to bring in a grade-appropriate book to become a part
of their classroom library. It can be either hard or soft back. If your
child wishes, he or she can write a note to their teacher inside the front
cover. Supplies for the classroom are also needed. You can choose to bring
in either a book or a supply, like a pencil or stickers for the classroom.

FRIDAY, MAY 9TH – "PAMPER YOUR TEACHER DAY."
Each child is invited to bring in a gift certificate or other personal gift
such as candy, cookies or candles. Or your child may choose to make
something for their teacher. ANYTHING will be well received! All of the
gifts will be placed into a basket provided by your Homeroom Mom.

If your child participates in ESE or GATE, or Special Area, you may wish to
remember them during this special week. Thank you all so much for your
anticipated participation!

Sincerely,
Marsha Hartline
