Due to the current budget situation, the Leon County School Board has
determined that there will be no summer school for this school year.
That means that for students to be promoted, they must meet the
promotion requirements for their grade level by the end of school.

Students who are having academic difficulties are being given
remediation throughout the year through individualized instruction and
one-on-one assistance in the classroom, extra time in the CCC labs, and
tutoring with volunteers and staff before, during or after regular
school hours.

Parents received copies of grade level promotion standards in September
and teachers explain the requirements to their students regularly.
Please encourage your children to do their best throughout the school
year since there will be no additional opportunity to meet promotion
requirements after May 24, 2002.
