The Association of Godby Graduates is committed to supporting and
maintaining strong academics at Godby High School.  One way of supporting
this goal has been to establish the Association of Godby Graduates' Legacy
Scholarships.

Qualified graduating seniors can submit an application by April 30, 2004 to
Mr. Manny Joanos' box in the main office at Godby.  Students with questions
can see Ms. Thomason (608) or Ms. Liedy (405).

Criteria for Applicants:
- A graduating Senior with one or more relatives who graduated from Godby
High School

- Minimum 3.0 G.P.A.

- Enrolled during Senior year in four (4) or more academic or upper-level
courses

- Documentation of extracurricular activities (officer of or leadership
position in a club or organization and/or participation in sports)

- Documentation of community and/or school volunteer service

- Consistent evidence of good behavior, including no Out-of-School
Suspensions

- A written recommendation from any of the following:  employer, volunteer
coordinator, club or team sponsor, pastor or other community leader

- Evidence of acceptance at a post-secondary institution

Additional items needed:
- Attach a copy of your March 2004 report card to document your G.P.A. and
Senior-year courses.

- Attach the required letter of recommendation.

- Attach evidence of your acceptance at a post-secondary institution (if
available at this time).
