Hello Godby High School Alumni,
Happy New Year

It is with much regret that I must send this email. However, under the circumstances the Hall of Fame committee believes this decision to be our best option.

The committee has unanimously decided, in the interest of everyone’s health and the success of our Hall of Fame, that we must again delay the Dinner and Induction ceremony another year until March 2022.

We have contacted the inductees and they also agree that to delay for another year makes the most sense.
The short list for the delay:
1) Covid-19 has not subsided and is currently spiking.
2) Godby High is not permitted to allow functions of this size to be on the campus for the Dinner.
3) Several of our inductees live out of State, one of which lives out of Country - have travel issues.
4) Obviously, the Hall of Fame committee cannot assure the health safety for our guest.
5) The AGG committee probably would not be allowed to have the JROTC and NHS students assist us with the Dinner.

The AGG Hall of Fame committee is dedicated to make sure that the 2020 inductees are appropriately celebrated.
This celebration will just occur in 2022.

The inductees in 2022 will be:
Michael Proschan class of 1977 Science/Health
Ray Marchant class of 1980 Fine Arts
Tony Jordan class of 1989 Civic/Military
Stephanie “Dobson” Webster class of 1992 Professional
Thaddeus Rivers class of 1996 Sports/Athletics
April Knight class of 1998 Educator

Thank You All,
Manny Joanos, AGG
