Hello Godby High Alumni.
I hope all of you have had a good summer. Students are back in school and
we are all excited about the new school year. Godby’s enrollment has
increased by more than 125 students to over 1300. This is good because we
have had several years of declining numbers. I attribute the turnaround to
the many new innovative programs now available under Principal Randy
Pridgeon.
The Association of Godby Graduates (AGG) looks forward assisting Dr.
Pridgeon in his efforts at Godby. We have sponsored many scholarships thus
far and we will sponsor two $1000.00 scholarships this year. We will have
the second annual Godby Hall of Fame in February. This year marks the 20th
and 30th anniversary of our two football championships, the 1976 and the
1986 state champions. We must plan something special for this year’s
homecoming game on October 26th.

Please join us at our next AGG meeting. We only meet 3 times a year. But,
we accomplish a lot.
