Association of Godby Graduates (AGG) Alumni Briefs

AGG Scholarship Patron Sign:
I would like to express on behave of all alumni a Big Thank You to Bruce
(c/o 73) and Sandra (c/o 76) Screws, owners of Bills Signs and Service.
Bruce and Sandra (formerly a Phillips) graciously donated a wonderful sign
that has been placed at the school entrance on Tharpe Street. This sign
celebrates the names of all our scholarship donors. An image of this sign
can be found on our alumni web site at http://ghsalumni.fsu.edu . Then
click on the Extraordinary Gifts link, and then click on: Scholarship
Patron Sign. If you are interested in becoming a scholarship donor, please
email me at [log in to unmask] for more information.

AGG Next Meeting:
The AGG will meet again on April 26th at 6:30 in the Godby Media Center.
Scholarships and the Honor Students Recognition Dinner will be on the
agenda. All alumni are encouraged to become active.

AGG Honor Students Recognition Dinner:
The AGG has scheduled this years recognition dinner on Thursday May 4th at
6:30 in the Godby Cafeteria. This is the Godby’s alumnus opportunity to
praise and acknowledge the great grades made by our future alumni. All
summa, magna and cum laude students will be invited to be recognized.
Please mark your calendar for this worthwhile event. Tickets for the dinner
are $6.00 each. Proceeds are for the AGG scholarship fund.

Project Graduation:
Once again, senior parents are organizing the Project Graduation effort. As
you are aware, graduation night can be somewhat dangerous for grads that
make bad decisions. Project Graduation is a parent’s effort to offer good
wholesome entertainment in a secure and supervised facility. This effort
has costs and is not supported by tax dollars. The budget for Project
Graduation is supported by the participating students and private
contributions. Should you feel moved to assist financially with this event
please email Karen Trammell at [log in to unmask] for more
information?
