I regret to inform:

Dear Cougar Faithful,

It is with great sorrow that I must inform you of our loss last week at the
hands of Pensacola Washington. We fought ferociously. Our boys played
extremely well. We were leading 30 to 28. With only 6 seconds left in the
game, Washington lined up to kick a 37 yard field goal. Our coaches called
three consecutive timeouts in an effort to rattle the opposing kicker.
However, with ice in his veins he called the Washington team to formation,
snap, placement, kick and the ball sailed through the uprights as time ran
out.
A heartbreaker for our Mighty Cougars, who only a week earlier defeated the
Lincoln Trojans for the City Championship and an unblemished 10-0 regular
season record. Thanks to all for your thoughtful support this year.
