Hello Godby Alumni,

Can you believe the school year is coming to a close?

Last Thursday night Godby High celebrated our 38th Senior Awards Night and
our AGG President, Karen Trammell c/o '78 was on hand to award three AGG
scholarships to this years deserving seniors. The three recipients were;
Demetrius Richardson ($1000), Jena Chaaban ($500) and Saige White ($500).
These brand new Godby grads have demonstrated the ability to produce great
grades and great citizenship. Demetrius, Jena and Saige have and will
continue to make Godby proud of their accomplishments.

Dr. Floyd Jaggears c/o '77 has once again presented the AGG with yet
another extraordinary gift. This $500 gift is earmarked for the AGG
scholarship fund. The AGG was able to give $2000 worth of scholarship this
year and next year we now have on hand the money to give $3000 in
scholarship. Please consider adding your name to the Extraordinary Gift
list. Go to www.ghsalumni.fsu.edu to review list. Please join me in
thanking Dr. Jaggears for this Extraordinary Gift.

The 2007 Davis Scholarship recipient is Gabrielle Maldonado. Gabrielle is a
multi year National Honor Society member and graduates with Magna Cum Laude
honors. This scholarship will renew each and every year. Please join me in
thanking Mr. and Mrs. Davis for their Extraordinary Gift and generosity of
this endowed scholarship.

The Hinkle Endowed Scholarship that will be known as the Jeff Bradford
Scholarship will begin in 2008. Mr. Bradford was Godby's band director for
many years. This scholarship will go to an outstanding Godby band member.
Mrs. Janet Bruce Hinkle c/o '74 played in the band under Mr. Bradford’s
direction. Please join me in thanking the Hinkle’s for this Extraordinary
Gift.

On a sad note, for those of you that are unaware, Debbie Kelley Register
passed away earlier this year. Debbie was a 1974 graduate. She and her
husband Tiny owned Tiny’s Bar-be-que on Hwy 20. We will miss you Debbie.
