Message From the Principal, Mrs. Michelle Gayle

Happy New Year, Tigers! Our 2005 calendar year has started off on such
a positive and productive note. We started the week by setting goals for
the 3rd nine weeks in each classroom. All Tigers attended a Back to
Excellence Assembly on Tuesday, January 4, 2005. Teachers and
administrators reviewed school rules, promotional requirements, dress code
expectations and set the stage for putting everything in place to earn no
less than a level 3 on FCAT Reading, Mathematics and Science. Eighth grade
students were also given the task to earn no less than a level 4 on the
FCAT Writing test. Our students received the information in a positive way
and the sky is the limit for our success during this second semester.
Our PTO met on Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at 7:00 PM in the Media
Center. They have so many volunteer opportunities that are coming up where
help is needed to make these events successful. Please call the office
(488.4200) and let us know if you would like to volunteer for our Annual
Silent Auction or our Annual Family Fun Day.
Finally, I would like to thank each and every family for their
continued support of our school. As of Monday, January 10, 2004, we have 20
school days until FCAT Writing and Writes Upon Request. We have 33 school
days until FCAT Reading, Math and Science. Please continue to encourage
your child to work hard each day in each classroom! Do not hesitate to call
upon me if I can be of help to you. Have a positive week!
