It is with great enthusiasm and pride that I share with Griffin Middle
School parents and community members.  The day was off to a rapid opening
at 6:00am.  The busses began to roll in to the campus promptly at 6:45;
students reporting to class at 7:20.  We closed the day with all classes
running smoothly, having to hold the bells for only one class period.  In
addition to the smooth transition of our school day, lunch ran according to
schedule.  Newly enrolled students were all in class by 10:30.  The day
ended with all students receiving valuable information to share with
parents.

The students received a class syllabus from each teacher which explains
individual class specifics.  As  appropriate, we're asking for all forms
requiring a signature to be returned by Friday, August 22.

We are also pleased to offer Griffin's Pre AP and Pre IT magnet programs.
Our faculty members are highly engaged educators who have a strong
commitment and passion for educational excellence.  Thank you parents and
community for your support.  We are off to a tremendous start for the 2008 -
 2009 school year and we're looking forward to the journey.
