Florida Educational Technology Conference (FETC) Presentation

I am proud to report that I was a part of a FETC presentation that featured the
innovative things that are going on with technology in Leon County and Griffin
Middle Scool! Assistant Superintendent Iris Wilson, Technology Director Adrian
Peters, Roberts Elementary School Principal Peggy Youngblood and I spoke to a
large group of educators about the Laptop Initiative for Education (LIFE) project. As
you know, Griffin has implemented the LIFE project in our 6th grade math and
language arts classrooms.

There are four elementary schools (Bond, Pineview, Roberts and Wesson) and three
middle schools (Cobb, Griffin and Nims) that have implemented the LIFE program.
Our presentation featured information about all 7 LIFE schools. Our presentation
was well received and many other school districts in Florida and around the nation
have asked to visit our LIFE schools to learn from our expereinces!

Way to go, Tigers!
