Attention: Sixth Grade and Eighth Grade Parents

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the support you’ve
provided during this school year. You are valuable to our success and your
efforts to support us are greatly appreciated. Thank you also for allowing
us to serve your child’s educational needs.

On Monday, March 3rd your child was given a School Climate Survey packet
which should have been given to you for completion. Because we value your
input, we are asking you to take a few moments to complete the parent
survey form and return it to your child’s homeroom teacher by Monday, March
17th. We have extended the deadline and would greatly appreciate you
retuning it with your valued input. We are counting on you to help us
meet our goal of increased parental involvement. Returning the School
Climate Survey form is one way to accomplish this goal. Sixth and eighth
students completed an on-line version of the climate survey.

Our School Advisory Council (SAC) will use the information to write the
2008-2009 School Improvement Plan. Results will also be published next
fall in our annual School Public Accountability Report.

We are counting on your input for our continued growth toward greater
excellence. You may contact the school office if you did not receive the
survey form and we will be happy to provide you with one. You may contact
BJ Van Camp, assistant principal, if you have any questions.

Thank you again from the entire Griffin Middle School family for your
continued support. We look forward to using your survey responses to help
us meet the educational needs of our school community.
