Important Tiger Team Reminders:
As of Wednesday, October 5, 2005, there are 7 more days left in the first
nine weeks. The last day of the first nine weeks is Thursday, October 13,
2005.

School picture day is Friday, October 7, 2005.

6th Grade Health Screenings take place on Monday, October 10, 2005. Please
make sure that your child brings his/her glasses and/or contact lenses and
wears them during the screening.

Friday, October 14, 2005 is a Teacher Planning Day. There will be no
school for students on this day. School will resume on Monday, October 17,
2005 at 8:20 AM.

Thanks for all of your support with our PTO Fall Fundraiser. Your orders
will be ready for pick-up on Tuesday, November 1, 2005 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM
in the Media Center. Make plans to stay for our PTO meeting on November 1,
2005. The meeting begins at 7:00 PM and ends promptly at 8:00 PM.

Did you receive our weekly newsletter? It is bright orange this week and
it went home on Monday due to technical difficulties.


Middle School Parenting Tips: Do your kids always give you one word
answers?

"How was your day?" "Fine." "What did you do at school today?" "Nothing."
Sound familiar? We expect them to share their thoughts and feelings on our
schedule, but it doesn't happen that way. We have to be patient and we
have to be available when they are ready to open up. You never know when
it is coming. When it does, you'd better stop whatever you're doing and
listen, because the opportunity may not come around again for a while.
