Message from the Principal
Our week has been wonderful here at Griffin Middle School! Our
students are engaged in meaningful learning activities throughout our
school day. Please continue to ask your child what he/she is learning. I
know that you will be impressed.

We will observe Red Ribbon Week next week at Griffin Middle School.
This is a week where we take the time to remind students that drugs are not
a part of their positive future. Our Tiger’s Pride club has done a great
job of planning several activities for us to celebrate this week. We will
also sponsor an essay contest that includes prizes of a DVD player, a 5
inch black and white television, and a personal CD player for our winners.
The essays are due to Mrs. Jones by 3:00 PM on Monday, October 25, 2004. We
are drug free and proud at Griffin Middle School.

Did you know that pumpkin seeds are delicious and a good source of
iron and other minerals that your body needs? So when you carve pumpkins
for fall festivities roast some seeds and try something new!

Finally, costumes will not be allowed on Griffin Middle School’s
campus. Students will be asked to adhere to our dress code during our Red
Ribbon Week. We want to have fun, but we will also preserve order! Please
do not hesitate to call upon me or email me if I can assist you in any
matter. Have a positive week!
