It’s “A” Week in Tigerland ABCDEF

05.02.06
Honors Banquet @ Leon County Civic Center 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
This is an event where we recognize and congratulate our students on their
outstanding accomplishment of achieving the all A or the A/B Honor Roll
for each of the first three 9-weeks this year. This is a great
achievement and demonstrates hard work and dedication on the part of our
students, as well as our parent(s).

This year’s Honors Banquet is scheduled for Tuesday, May 2nd at the Leon
County Civic Center. It will be held in the downstairs Ballroom from
11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Lunch will be served beginning at 11:15 AM. The
buffet will include fried chicken, salad, vegetables, rolls, drinks and
dessert. The price includes the lunch buffet, taxes, and tip. Parking is
free. The PTO pays for each student’s lunch. Each parent/ guardian
(and/or grandparent) may purchase a ticket in advance for $17.00. If you
wish to purchase tickets, please send your money to Ms. Harris in the
guidance office by April 27, 2006. Make checks payable to “Griffin Middle
School”. The numbers must be turned in to the Civic Center on April
27th. Please be ready to present your tickets at the door as you enter
the Civic Center Ballroom.

Parents will have the opportunity to take pictures of their child
accepting his/her award as each one is called up individually and honored
with personalized trophies. We ask that the students dress up that day
since it is such a special day and pictures will be taken. The students
will ride a bus from Griffin Middle School to the Civic Center, and then
return to the school.

If you have any questions, or would like to help with the banquet, please
call Mrs. Register or Dr. Gayle at 488-8436.
