A Message from the Principal, Mrs. Michelle Gayle
Wow! Griffin Middle School is on the move this week! Our students had an
opportunity to interact with Representative Loranne Ausley and Attorney
General Charlie Crist this week. Both Representative Ausley and Attorney
General Crist commented that our students are focused, have a solid
understanding of world events and are destined for success. Special thanks
are also extended to Mr. Rufus Brown (#7 on the FSU Football Team) and
Leeann Newton (from Guaranty National Bank). Mr. Brown joined our
Fellowship of Christian Athletes on Wednesday to share some inspiring words
and stories from his life. He was also inspired by our students and all of
the great things that they are accomplishing! Ms. Newton spoke to Mrs.
Register’s mathematics classes about the aspects of banking including
investing money for their future. Way to go, Tigers!
I am pleased to introduce two “new” members of our Tiger Team. Ms. Mary
Geipel has joined us as a 7th grade math teacher. Ms. Geipel is just like
one of the family as she completed her practicum experiences and her
student teaching at Griffin Middle School. Ms. Geipel is doing a fine job!
Mrs. Carla Nolan is no stranger to our Tiger Team as she is coming home
after working for a publishing company for two years. Mrs. Nolan is
teaching reading and working with small groups of students who need
additional assistance in the area of reading. Join me in welcoming these
professionals to our awesome Tiger Team!
Finally, congratulations are extended to our Brain Bowl team! They competed
with other area middle schools this week and did a fine job as they
defeated Ft. Braden and Aucilla Middle School. The high scorers for Griffin
Middle were Tyler Vickery and Shawn Cole. As always, please do not
hesitate to call upon me at 488.8436 or email me at
