Find Time to Be With Family

Today, some parents are so busy they hardly have time to brush their teeth.
And as the holidays draw closer, frazzled moms and dads wonder how to fit
in time for their families.

First, accept the fact that you can't do everything. You don't have to bake
a pumpkin pie just because your mother always did. (Why not buy a pie—and
use that time to read a book with your kids?)

Second, remember what businesses call the "80/20" rule. That means that 80
percent of the results on any project come from 20 percent of the effort.

Is the extra hour you'd spend preparing special food really worth the
effort? Or could you have something simpler and spend that hour playing a
game or just watching a family movie with your kids?

Third, remember your kids will only be young once. The time you spend with
them is the most precious gift you can give them. And once the time is
gone, you can never get it back.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Tigers!

Proud Principal of Griffin Middle School
