Message from the Principal, Mrs. Gayle

It’s been a great week at Griffin Middle School. Our students are
working hard! Join me in sharing some exciting news about some of our Tiger
Team Family members. Congratulations to Dr. Princess Palmer and Dr. Cynthia
Dickel as they have just earned the prestigious right to be a National
Board Certified Teacher. This is no small undertaking and it involved
creating a portfolio of their teaching experiences and passing a rigorous
test. Only a small percentage of teachers in the United States earn this
status and we are so proud of them!

I hope that you have seen your child’s progress alert by now. Most
of our students are working hard and earning excellent grades. Please keep
in mind that this is a mid-term report and we have four more weeks of
teaching and learning ahead of us. I want to remind you that our Homework
Center is here to help our students achieve their goals. Certified teachers
work in our Homework Center but students have to do their part and attend
on a regular basis and bring their assignments that need to be completed. I
guarantee positive results for all students who faithfully and seriously
attend our Homework Center!

As Thanksgiving approaches, I want you to know that I am thankful
for each student, teacher, staff member, parent, and community member.
Please do not hesitate to call upon me or email me if I can assist you in
any matter. Have a positive week and a Happy Thanksgiving!
