It is time to order your 2005-2006 yearbook. Pre-paid orders for the yearbook will be taken
beginning Nov.28th. The cost will be $ 13.00 before Dec. 15th (no orders will be accepted on
Friday, Dec. 16th due to the holidays) and $15.00 after Jan. 4th. Special order silver name stamps
will be offered if we have at least 25 people place and pre-pay their order. This year it will be $
3.00 for a name to be stamped in silver on the cover.

Parents, when paying for the yearbook, please pay by check if possible. Checks are safer and less
likely to get lost or spent on something else. Please make the check out to Ft. Braden School.
Please write yearbook in the memo section of your check so that it does not get confused with
lunch money. If you need to send cash, please place it in an envelope marked with your child's
name, teacher, and mark it for the yearbook. All PreK - 5 orders will be collected by your child's
homeroom teacher. 6th - 8th grade orders will be collected by Ms. Poitinger before school or by
Mr. Green during middle school lunch.

Reminder - December 14th - 16th are early release days for students. Students will be dismissed
at 12:30 pm.

The Leon County Senior Outreach will have a workshop for senior citizens raising grandchildren,
nieces, and/or nephews. This workshop will be on Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at the Fort Braden
Community Center from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Reservations are required. Informative flyers will
be sent home with students.

Nutrition Tip of the Week
Thanksgiving can be healthy: Did you know that turkey is one of the most nutritious meats you
can eat? It has more protein and calcium, and less fat, calories, and sodium than other meats.
The white meat (without the skin) is the healthiest way to enjoy turkey. If you like the other parts,
just be sure to be careful how much you have.

Physical Activity of the Week
Find a convenient time and place to do activities.
Try to make it a habit, but be flexible. If you miss an exercise opportunity, work activity into your
day another way.

The Ft. Braden activity calendar is available on our website at:
