LEON SCHOOLS PICK TOP FIVE TEACHERS OF THE YEAR
~Five finalists chosen and will be considered for District winner honor~

Tallahassee—Superintendent Bill Montford is pleased to announce the Leon County Schools top five
Teacher of the Year (TOY) finalists.  Fifty two schools chose one teacher as the TOY for their campus
and that winner advanced to the District competition.  The top five are:

·       Debbie Akins                            Hawks Rise Elementary School
·       Jan Graham                              Cobb Middle School
·       Cana Nudi                                 Chiles High School
·       Cheryl Cliett                              Canopy Oaks Elementary School
·       Myioshi Walker-Peterson           Bond/Wesson Elementary School

The TOY finalists were chosen by panel of fifteen judges that included past TOY top five winners,
principals, and community members.  The District winner for TOY will be announced Tuesday,
February, 14th.
