     The Art of Bookmaking during Media at Night -
Celebrate Children's Book    Week by learning how to make a book by hand. Local Calligrapher and
Artist Julia DeHoff will show students examples of handmade books and then teach them how to
make their own book.

Have you ordered your yearbook???
Yearbook orders are being taken at a discounted rate of $12.00 until Nov. 19th.  After Nov 19th
the cost will be $15.00.  Make sure your child's name, grade & teacher are listed on the envelope.
You also still have time to put lovelines in the yearbook for $2.00 and buddy pictures for $4.00.

Nutrition Tip of the Week
Smart eating: Eating a handful of baby carrots for a snack can fill you up without adding a lot of
calories to your day. 10 baby carrots have only 40 calories

Physical Activity of the Week
Use a visible reward system.
The effects of exercise are cumulative and long-term, so sometimes it helps to see your results on
a daily basis. After each workout, put a big red star on the calendar as a symbol that you
completed the day's workout. Take photos of yourself every month in your workout gear so you
have a visual record of your results, too.
