Dear Parents,

We have had another wonderful week at Cobb Middle School!! Walking the
campus and visiting classrooms, one would think the students were well into
the year. They have settled in so quickly and have adjusted to their new
schedules and teachers.

I want to thank the parents that have returned all the necessary forms
required of the school. I know it can also be difficult for you at the
beginning of the school year. It will be a pleasure working with you
through out the year to promote your child’s education.

This week your child participated in a grade-level assembly which focused
on promotion requirements and school expectations and rules. Judging from
the reactions of the students, I am anticipating having a successful,
enjoyable school year.

Make sure you check out our website periodically (
http://www.cobb.leon.k12.fl.us/ ) for information about our school
including after school sports and academic activities. Soon we will be
providing a link to each teacher’s online grade book. This will give you
weekly to bi-weekly updates about your child’s grades in each class.
Accessing your child’s grades is extremely beneficial and will assist you
in monitoring the academic progress. Teachers are training to use this new
computer program and I hope to have everybody onboard by the end of the
first nine week grading period.

Please encourage all Cobb parents to join the listserv and take advantage
of this free service. Have a safe week and we will hope for good weather!!!
