I would like to thank all of you who responded to our request for housing
for the Joseph family who joined us after evacuating from Kenner,
Louisiana. They were able to take a trip and visit their home recently.
When the arrived, they found that nothing in the downstairs was salvageable
as the flood waters were waist high. That left them hope for the
upstairs! However, all of the items in the upstairs were so filled with
mold and mildew that nothing there was able to be salvaged either. Their
home and contents were a total loss. (To see Mr. Joseph, you would never
know it. He always has such a positive outlook and bright smile on his
face!)

The Joseph’s have found a place to live in Tallahassee and will be moving
in this weekend. They have found great support from their new church and
will continue to share information with our school so that we may assist
them with their needs.

Many of you have asked what you can do to help. Many have offered gently
used furniture. Here are the specific needs:
Beds (for two adults and four children)
Linens (3 boys & 1 girl)
Towels
Pots & pans
Dishes
Utensils
Dining room table & chairs
Couch
Lamps for all rooms

While we are unable to accept cash donations, we will gladly forward gift
certificates to Wal-Mart or the like. If you are willing to donate new or
gently used items to help our newest Chaires family, please contact the
school office (or reply to this email). We will gladly pass on your
information to the Joseph family.

Thank you in advance for your ongoing generosity and support!
Sincerely,
Christi
