We are just over 2 weeks away from the Silent Auction (Tuesday 12/17) and
have relatively few donations so far.  We sent home a Classparent letter
yesterday and (despite a few typos) it encourages class parents to join us
at the PTO meeting this Thursday night (12/5) at Chaires to organize for the
auction and dinner.  We hope to see you all Thursday at 6.

If each of you could bring in or recruit one donation the auction will
surely be a success!  Please do what you can - items can be gifts, handmade
crafts, services, dinners out, etc.

Just to get you thinking, ideas include:
Gift baskets - health and beauty items, toys, games, etc
Dinner at a local restaurant
An overnight stay at a hotel or lodge
Membership at a club (3-month health club etc)
Handmade items: stained glass pieces (suncatchers, etc), quilts, paintings,
other art work.
Gift certificates to businesses: haircuts, oil changes, massages, yard work,
etc.

Put your thinking caps on - who do you know that would be willing to
contribute?  Its great PR for businesses as they will be listed in the
brochure and thanked at the auction.
