PTO MINUTES – AUGUST 6TH, 2002

UPDATES:
PRINTERS- They are in and the teachers are happy.
PICNIC TABLES-Three have been made and they look great.  Thanks to Kyle
DeRouin.
MORLEY SALES – NEED PARENT FUND RAISER LETTER. Christy is doing the letter.

POSITIONS NEEDED:  These will be advertised during orientation.

MENTORS – TO HELP TANYA G.?
PARTNERS TO HELP PATTI B.
VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

LABELS/BOXTOPS NEEDS – Covered in the PTO Survival Guide.  We are doing
well.

ORIENTATION NEEDS:

BROCHURE FOR PARENTS (CALENDAR, HOW TO VOLUNTEER, AWSOME PARENT, ETC.) –
Completed thanks to Christy and Jo Marie
FOOD SALES (VOLUNTEERS TO HELP, PURCHASES FOR HOTDOGS, FREEZER POPS, BUNS,
CONDIMENTS, CHIPS AND SODAS) – Candy and Patti Brigance to help with the
purchases.
MAKE POSTERS FOR VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES. Jaqui will get the materials to
meet at the school at 5:30 PM to get ready for Friday.
SET UP SHIRT SALES – (VOLUNTEERS NEEDED).
DO WE WANT TO SET A LOT OF THIS UP THURS. PM? – 5:30 to 6:00 PM at the
Media Center.  Bring a Friend.

BUDGET UPDATE.  – Still working on .  Areas of need noted per the
Administration:
Note all the local churches to challenge them to provide 3 male mentors and
assist with one appreciation activity.
Provide/Assist with purchase of supplemental Enrichment Materials for
Classics.
Riverside Software.
Grandparent Volunteer Funding
Lunch Expenses for Exchange Teacher.

PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT UPDATE. – Ready to go.  Just need to make the
equipment selections and setting the construction date.  Important
volunteer opportunity.

AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM UPDATE. – Ongoing project.  Need parent input.

NEW NEEDS/ADMINISTRATION.
