PRINCIPAL’S PAWSE
Our spring festival is approaching quickly! Please be sure to work with
your child's teacher, as we need YOUR support for our festival to be a
success! Parents can send in a 2 liter bottle of soda, send in silent
auction theme basket items, and sign up to work for 30 minutes or one hour
in the class booth. Saturday, April 22nd will be a day for everyone to
remember! Be sure that YOU are a part of making it a success.

Science is Blooming
The Science Department is excited to announce we will be creating a
butterfly garden to create a living learning environment in the front of
the school from which students can learn first hand. We are thrilled to
begin accepting plant donations of buddleia (butterfly bushes), lantana,
parsley, red pentas, milkweed, verbena, lobelia, goldenrod, and a nectar
feeder. Donations can be left by/at room 705 before or after school, or
see Mrs. Perez if you have any questions.

SCIENCE FAIR NEWS
We're all looking forward to the annual Chaires Science Fair that will be
held April 24th and 25th this year. You can help your child brainstorm
ideas for his/her science experiment. Be sure to check the school's
website for recommended sites regarding science fair experiments. The
Science Fair is optional for K,1,2 and is required for 3,4,5. Science Fair
backboards can be purchased in the school office for $5.

McCASKILL'S CORNER
We have had another successful week. Our Writes Upon Request will begin
next week, April 17-21, 2006. The 4th administration of DIBELS will begin
April 20 - May 10, 2006. Parents, we are asking you to please drop off
your children in the back of the school. Our buses must be able to arrive
and drop off the students between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. We need to keep
the school bus loading zone clear between these times. We are also asking
for your assistance in getting your child to school on time. If your child
is late, please stop by the office and sign them in. Have a Great Weekend!
Spring Festival April 22, 2006
Keep sending in the forms for the Spring Festival. The registration forms
for The Patterson Prowl Fun Run/Walk need to be filled out and money sent
to the front office. You may also send in the ticket pre-order forms for
the festival. If you pre-order you may purchase 5 tickets for $1.00. The
day of the festival tickets are 4 for $1.00.
