Education Express Tour
We are fortunate to have Senator Ken Pruitt visiting our district on Monday
to kickoff the Brighter Futures Education Express Tour. Senator Pruitt
will engage in discussions on the value of preserving our school funding in
Florida. He will speak with students in a Leon High Civic’s class, have
dinner at Leon prior to High School Open House and end with a forum at Kate
Sullivan Elementary. The forum begins at 6:30pm in the Art/Music Suite at
Kate Sullivan. A short eight minute video will be shown and the Senator
will dialogue with staff, parents and the community.

FIELD DAY
Field Day will be held on October 24th. Parents, we need you to send in a
white t-shirt for your child if possible, to be tie-dyed. The class will
decide what color to dye their shirts. Then a parent(s) will tie-dye the
shirts for the class. PTO will reimburse the parent who purchases the dye
as long as they save the receipt. (Please, RIT dye only. No special/fancy
kits.) It is important that every child has a shirt, so if anyone would
like to donate an extra white t-shirt, that would be greatly appreciated.
The Kindergarten Teachers would like their students to wear a Chaires
School shirt (purple and gold) for Field Day.
