PRINCIPAL’S PAWSE
Be sure to look for progress alerts on Wednesday next week. These will go
home with students who are having any academic or behavioral difficulty.
This will help you get your child on track to finish the year on a positive
note!

SCHOOL CHANGES FOR NEXT YEAR?
If your child will be attending a different school next year other than
Chaires or if you have a 5th grade student attending a different middle
school other than the one they are zoned for, please notify the office so
that we can be sure the records are transferred to the proper school at the
end of this school year. A withdrawal form will need to be filled out for
any student who will be in grades Pre-K through 5th that will not be
attending Chaires School in the Fall.
FIFTH GRADE CHORUS PERFORMANCE
Our fifth grade chorus will perform in the cafeteria the morning of the
Spring Festival. The performance will begin at 10:00am and last
approximately 15 minutes. Stop by and hear their wonderful voices!
SPRING FESTIVAL
THE SPRING FESTIVAL IS TOMORROW, SATURDAY, APRIL 26th from 10:00am-2:00pm.
There will be fun, food, and excitement for the whole family! Some of the
highlights will be the Chaires Capitola Fire Department equipment, Leon
County Sheriff’s Office (helicopter, K-9, Camaro and more), American Red
Cross Fire House, Department of Forestry’s own Smokey the Bear, rides,
games, and a dunk tank too! HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!!
PRE-K NEWS
Our Pre-K classes are in need of some men’s clothing for their house area,
especially sport coats, ties, slacks and shoes. It is wonderful to see how
grown up the children act while wearing “grown up” clothes and it would be
wonderful to have several choices of men’s clothing to wear. Thanks for
anything you can do to help us out.
CHORUS/MUSICAL DRAMA PERFORMANCES
Mrs. Kilpatrick has two performances coming up in May. On May 13th at
6:00pm, the 2nd grade will perform a musical drama in the cafeteria. And,
on May 20th at 6:00pm, the 5th grade chorus will perform their musical
drama in the cafeteria. All classes will be able to see the performances
here at school during the day.
