I'm looking forward to seeing the children, parents, family and community
members at the Patterson Prowl (1 mile fun walk/run) at 9:00 and the Spring
Festival from 10:00-2:00 this Saturday! Our PTO has been working hard, and
with YOUR support, it will be a successful event. We will have food, fun,
games, silent auction, entertainment and community involvement! Come out
to see the various vehicles and staff from the Leon County Sheriff's
Department, the Chaires Fire Department, American Red Cross. With your
support, this will be our best Spring Festival yet! Plan to come get me
wet in the dunk tank starting at 1:30!

Parents and Volunteers
The volunteer response coming in for class booths has been very low. Last
year, we had to shut down some booths temporarily because we didn’t have
any volunteers for them. We don’t want to let this happen again! We
especially need coverage between 10:00 and 2:00. If you can help for even
half an hour, please come on Saturday and sign in.
* ALL Volunteers please report to the Volunteer table in the breezeway. We
will direct you to your class booth or to wherever help is needed the
most.
**EVERY VOLUNTEER WHO SIGNS IN GETS A FREE CHANCE AT A “TISKET TASKET”
BASKET OF THEIR CHOICE!! *

SEE YOU AT THE FESTIVAL!!!!!!!!

McCASKILL'S CORNER
Working with children is one of he most important jobs in the world. The
administration, faculty and staff at Chaires Elementary School are proud to
have the privilege of working with and taking care of your children.
Therefore, we are responsible for the safety and well being of your
children while they are in our care beginning at 7:00 a.m. Parents, your
assistance is needed by helping us continue to do our most important job in
keeping your children as safe as possible. There is an area that Chaires
has designated for parents to drop off their children for school. The area
is located at the back of the school. Our buses are experiencing problems
pulling into the bus loading area in front of the school because we have
parents dropping off their children in that area. We are also experiencing
problems with students being dropped off at the Community Center and having
to walk down the hill to the school. Parents, please help us with this
escalating problem. All students should be dropped off in the back of the
school, not in the parking lot or in the bus loading zone. We are also
asking that the speed limit for dropping off your children be observed as
well. “Education must not simply teach work – it must teach life.” W.E.B.
Du Bois (1886-1963) Have a Great Weekend.
