PRINCIPAL’S PAWSE
We've got one SHORT week left before spring break! Next week will be full
of excitement. We'll have our book fair on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday;
our spring concert by our Honors Chorus and fourth grade recorder group on
Tuesday; lots of field trips on Wednesday and Thursday; and a planning day
on Friday! We will also be asking for parent, faculty/staff and student
input on our annual Climate Survey next week. If you plan to be at the
school at any time during the week next, we would like for you to take a
few moments to complete our online climate survey, in room 411, to tell
us "how we're doing" with your children at Chaires.
PROJECT KEYBOARD
Our Music Department is very excited about starting a keyboard lab for our
kindergarten through fifth grade students. This will be an enrichment many
of our students would never have the opportunity to experience if it wasn’t
offered at our school. The cost of the keyboard lab is $4,500. We would
like to invite you to help sponsor us with a contribution to this very
worthwhile project. Each keyboard will cost $100 and each stand will cost
$50. We would appreciate it if you would consider purchasing one of these
or contributing any amount to the project. Please make checks payable to
Chaires Elementary School. Thank you for your consideration and support.

participate. They took home information the day they went to the Science
Room and learned about the Scientific Process. Kindergartners, 1st and 2nd
graders may choose to participate and can get a Science Fair packet from
Mrs. Perez. To prepare for the Science Fair this week, every class visited
the Science Room and followed all the steps of the Scientific Process and
conducted an experiment that they took home to share with parents. You can
