During the June PTO Board meeting we voted to take part in the Leon County
and City of Tallahassee "CANpaign 2007". We want to see how many CANS we
can recycle from the Chaires Elementary Family. There will be a Rally held
in September 2007 where we will turn in our CANS and the school that brings
the most cans wins. This is an easy and fun way to help PTO raise money for
the school as well an easy way to remind our children of how important it
is to recycle. There will be a collection box placed in the front office
during the week prior to the CAN weigh in during the month of September.
Please collect as many CANS as you can during the remainder of the summer
and be prepared to drop them off at the school in September.  We’re hoping
that by getting an early start, we can recycle the most cans and win for
our school!
We will keep you posted on the information for the Rally as we will want to
have as many Chaires Parents/Teachers to cheer on our PTO. For more
