Elementary Open House Nights scheduled for Monday evening, August 29 at
schools throughout Leon County have been POSTPONED

Elementary School Open House Night throughout the county school system is
cancelled for Monday evening. The event will be rescheduled after Monday.

Given the approach of Hurricane Katrina toward the Florida Panhandle
Superintendent Montford has made this determination in order to give
employees and parents as much advance notice as possible as these decisions
are made.

Please stay tuned to local media in the event that additional cancellations
become necessary as the storm’s path becomes more certain.
