PRINCIPAL’S PAWSE
The first grading period is coming to a close and we are planning a very
special day to celebrate Chaires being an "A" school! On Friday, October
24th, we will be holding our Fall Field Day with the help of the PTO and
parent volunteers. We will have exciting events such as balloon races,
frisbee golf, tug of war, shoe find race, and the three legged race! This
is also the day that our lunch menu will consist of cookout items:
hamburgers, hotdogs, coleslaw, baked beans, cookies, and milk. Keep your
eyes out for a flyer with additional information including the schedule of
events for the day. We welcome parent volunteers! Plan to go through
field day events with your child's class, help another grade level by
working the field day, or help Mr. Noakes and Mrs. Moore cooking burgers
and dogs!

MRS. OLK CORNER
It is so hard to believe that the first nine weeks of school is already
over. The grading period officially ends on October 16th. Report cards
will be sent home on October 29th. Kindergarten and First grade parents
must schedule a conference with your child’s teacher to discuss progress
during the first nine weeks. Please contact your child’s teacher if you
have not had a conference or do not have one scheduled.

FAMILY FUN DAY AT INNOVATION PARK
Innovation Park is hosting a Family Fun Day on Saturday, October 18th from

Center, Tallahassee Museum of History and Natural Science, Mary Brogan
Museum, City of Tallahassee Utility Department, Florida Geology
Survey/Environmental Education, FSU Geological Society and more! We
encourage parents and children to attend this amazing educational and
entertaining event that will be fun for the entire family! Innovation Park
is located between East Paul Dirac Drive and Levy Avenue (across the street
from the FSU Research Foundation buildings).
