PRINCIPAL’S PAWSE
We're looking forward to an action packed "short" week next week at
Chaires. There will be no school for students on Monday, February 20,
2006, due to the President's Day Holiday. On Wednesday, our second graders
will be performing our Black History Program (8:00 & 9:15 shows, no evening
show). All of our students, PreK through fifth grade, will have a chance
to celebrate Black History Month and watch our second grade performance.
Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend the morning shows! (As
always, please be sure to sign in at the front office when you arrive on
campus.) On Thursday, we will have our Walk-A-Thon during your child's
special area time. This is a fun, fitness event that the children will all
participate in as a way to raise money for our special area classes. Last
year, we raised nearly $4,000 for new P.E. equipment. Let's see if we can
beat last year's total!! Parents are encouraged to come out and walk with
your child!
Walkathon - Thursday, February 23rd
7:50-8:35 3rd grade
8:40-9:25 5th grade
9:30-10:15 Kindergarten
10:25-11:10 4th grade
11:50-12:35 2nd grade
12:40-1:25 1st grade
Project Boards for Sale
The PTO is selling Project Boards this year for $5.00. We also have
project board headers for sale for $2.00. The header is used to hold the
board open and you can put the title of your project on it. Stop by the
front office to make your purchase. These boards are used for the Science
Fair as well as other projects.

McCASKILL'S CORNER
Our students have been taking the FCAT practice tests this week. Please
review the practice tests with your child when they bring them home today
and next week. Continue to encourage your child to do their very best at
school at all times. We still have some students that are running in the
hall way. Please continue to inform your child to always follow the school
rules. Please continue to drop your child off in the back of the
school. “Discipline must accompany desire to achieve results.” Have a
Great Weekend.

Parisian Discount Ticket Sale
The PTO is selling discount tickets for Parisian at $5.00 each. You get a
20% discount on February 25, 2006. The tickets are available in the front
office. Limited amounts available.
