PRINCIPAL’S PAWSE
Goodbye to Fifth Graders from Mrs. Moss:
This has been an exciting and eventful year! This week alone, our fifth
graders have had an adventure each day. It’s been a week that will live on
in their memory – one they will never forget. With their kickball game
(Mr. Nicolas’ class did win – even after all that bragging) and cookout on
Monday; ice cream social and autograph party on Tuesday; movies and popcorn
on Wednesday; Promotion Ceremony and class party on Thursday and the Luau
Dance on Friday we can say that we’re sending this class out in style!

These fifth grade students have worked very hard all year. As a group,
they have shown concern for one another and the younger children (younger
siblings and reading buddies) at the school. They have raised money and
solicited donations for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

The Chaires Class of 2006 (graduating class of 2013), I bid you a fond
farewell and encourage you to return to your Chaires Family to share your
future successes with us. I will truly miss you all.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Moss

McCASKILL'S CORNER
We have had an AWESOME school year. Your children have been great. We
look forward to seeing them all next year ready and eager to learn. All of
our children should read daily during the summer, brush up on their math,
science, social studies, art, music, behavior and work study skills. We
want everyone to have an Honor Roll Certificate next year. “The heart is
the happiest when it beats for others.” Have a GREAT summer!

News from Guidance
Another school year has ended. It has had many ups and downs, along with
frowns and smiles. New friends were added to the now growing list of old
friends. Much was learned and added to the abundance of knowledge already
acquired. This year's challenges are now a part of history.
As your children glide through the summer, help them to open new doors so
that their imaginations will soar. Help them to listen to nature and to
others. Help them to write, draw, create and build. Most learning takes
place outside of the four walls of the classroom. Their outside experiences
will assist them when they return to school.
Being a Chaires panther this year has been most interesting and
challenging. I've learned a lot, met wonderful people and had fun. I wish
for you and yours a most relaxing and awesome summer. Enjoy your families
and friends; they are special and so are you.
