We have had another wonderful week at Chaires with the students enjoying
many fun activities and field trips.  We appreciate the parents who help
with those activities.
We have received information that the FCAT PARENTNETWORK
(www.fcatparentnetwork.com) will be available to parents on Tuesday, May
23, at 6:00 a.m. This will include FCAT SSS Reading and SSS Mathematics for
grades 4-10. FCAT NRT scores for grades 4-10 are not available at this
time. SAT/10 Reading and Mathematic reports are also not available at this
time. We will continue to keep you updated!

CHAIRES SUMMER CAMP
Register now for the Chaires Summer Space Camp!  Limited enrollment!!! Come
and join the Chaires Summer Fun Camp for an exciting 9 weeks of “SPACE
CAMP”. Participate in our fun field trips: Pirate Ship Cruise, Wild
Adventures, Chuck E. Cheese, IMAX Theatre, Planetarium, Crenshaw Lanes, Fun
Station, Jack Mc Lean Pool, Mad Science, African Hand Drumming, Piano
Lessons, Crafts, bi-weekly themes and more special events.  Camp begins
June 5th and ends August 4th, 2006. We will be open from 7 AM to 6 PM
daily, with the exception of July 3rd and 4th.Call Cathy Davis at 922-2866
to get a registration packet or for more information.

Honor Roll Assemblies
Honor Roll Assemblies are Monday, May 22, 2006.  The times are as follows:
K-1 at 8:00am; 2-3 at 9:30am; and 4th at 8:45am.

McCASKILL'S CORNER
Our students will be involved in a lot of activities until the end of
school.  Please encourage your child to observe all school, classroom and
school bus rules during our last days of school.  All students should come
to school on time each day until the end of school.  Supervision begins at
7:00 a.m.  “Children are not vessels to be filled but lamps to be lit.”
(Swami Chinmayananda)  Have a Great Weekend.

Family Forum Magazine
In the past we have been sending home with students a copy the Tallahassee
Family Forum Magazine.  Although we recognize the value of the magazine to
our educational community, we are no longer able to distribute it or
similar publications that carry commercial advertisements via our
students.  However, the latest issue, Your Resource for Everything a Parent
Needs to Know, Tallahassee Discoveries-A Sourcebook for Better Living, and
other publications are available in the front office, public libraries, and
other distribution points throughout the community.

Florida Kidcare Applications
Through Florida Kidcare, the state of Florida offers health insurance for
children from birth through age 18, even if one or both parents are
working.  It includes four different parts, or programs. When you apply for
the insurance, Florida Kidcare will check which program your child may be
eligible for based on age and family income.  If you are interested send
the application in the envelope provided to Florida Kidcare P O Box 980,
Tallahassee, FL  32302-0980.
