Apalachee Tapestry Magnet School of the Arts
Volume 6, #7 February 2, 2015
Iris C. Wilson, Principal William A. Millard, Assistant Principal

PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
________________________________________

It is difficult to believe that we have turned the page on the first semester and are halfway through
the third nine weeks. It was great recognizing so many students during our Second nine-week
Award Ceremony. Mid-term Progress Alerts will be going home on Wednesday, February 4th.

As we begin the month of February, there are many exciting activities happening at ATMSA. Some
of these activities include Parent Involvement Workshop, Florida Assessment review for parents,
Volunteer and Partner Appreciation Breakfast, Spring Reading Picnic, Luscious Desserts/Read Coast
to Coast, and the Spring Arts Gala.

It is critical that you bring your child to school on time. The minutes of lost instructional time add
up!! Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

We would like to invite First Responders to join us for lunch on Friday, February 6th for our first
Annual Leon County Schools First Responders’ Day. Thank you for your service to our community.

Please remember be reminded that if you want to send your child home with someone other than
those already listed on your Emergency Information Form, we will not be allowed to make that
happen for you unless you come in to school to update your list or you fax in a note at (850) 922 -
0202 with a copy of your license or identification card attached for us to add that person(s) to your
form. Please note that this is strictly for the safety of your child(ren). Thank you for your
cooperation and understanding.

Iris C. Wilson
