THANKS 7TH GRADE PARENTS:  A heartfelt thanks goes out to the 7th grade
parents who contributed so generously by bringing in treats for our
faculty meeting.  It's either feast or famine around here, and yesterday
was definitely a feast.  Your generosity is greatly appreciated.  Thanks,
also, to Nancy Hobson for coordinating this activity.

KIDS CARE PROGRAM:  The deadline for qualified families to enroll their
uninsured children in the Kid Care Program is January 30. Please continue
to inform parents that applications are available at www.healthykids.org
or by calling 1-888-540-KIDS.

TRACK AND FIELD TRYOUTS:  Attention all speedsters:  Track tryouts are
coming soon!
If you are interested in trying out for the 2005 track team you must:
• Pick up a registration form from Coach Touchton (girls) or Coach
Eto (boys) starting 2/9.
• Return completed registration form to coaches by 2/16.
• Turn in activity form and physical form to coaches by 2/16 (unless
you already have one on file from participating in a prior sport this
year).
• Athletes may not participate during try outs unless the physical
form is turned in.
Events:  Running - 100 m. dash, 200 m., 400 m., 800 m., mile run, 4x100
relay, 4x400 relay and hurdles; Field - high jump, long jump, and shot put.
Qualifications:  speed!!  The fastest boys and girls, as demonstrated by
the recorded running times at tryouts, will make the team.  Grades,
conduct, and attitude will also be considered.
Tryout dates:  March 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th after school for one hour.
