As we enter into this season of thanksgiving, join me as we reflect on the
fact that we all have so much to be thankful for. I am thankful for the
students, parents, faculty and staff of Griffin Middle School. I know that
I am working with the future leaders of tomorrow and I am grateful that I
can make a positive difference in the lives of our community.

May your Thanksgiving holiday be wonderful, safe, restful and full of good
times with family and firneds. I look forward to seeing everyone on

Lost and Found
In an effort to keep our storage areas fire code safe and organized, we
will donate all lost and found itemns to Good Will Industries once per
month. Please remind your child to check for lost and found items in the
front office by the end of each month. Thanks for your help in this matter.

Spelling Bee
The GMS Spelling Bee will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2003 at 2:50
PM. Best of luck to all language arts classroom winners!

Festival of Lights Parade
Please watch for the GMS Marching Band and other clubs in the Festival of
Lights Parade on Saturday, December 6, 2003. Griffin is #33 in the parade!
Gooooooooooooo, Tigers!

Black History Brain Bowl Competition
Griffin's Black History Brain Bowl Team will compete with other district
teams on Saturday, December 6, 2003 at Rickards High School. The
competition begins at 8:45 AM. Best of luck to our team!

Mu Alpha Theta
Ms. Hill and our Mu Alpha Theta Team competed in the district contest last
Saturday at Chiles High! Our team did a great job. More details will
follow in the December 5, 2003 Tiger Team Newsletter!
