Educational Pricing for Leon County Schools
Students, Teachers, & Staff

Hi everyone,

We are pleased to announce the establishment of a Microsoft (MS) Student
Select Agreement for Leon County Schools.  What does this mean?

All teachers, staff, and students in Leon County Schools can purchase MS
software at substantially reduced prices.  For example:  MS Office
Professional 2007 will cost just $90.96.   Ms Office 2007 Standard is
just $79.82.

We think this program will be of great interest to your students (and
their parents)  in particular and recommend that you advertise it to
them through the various methods you use to communicate with your
parents (flyers-see attached; List Serves).  Please post and distribute
this offer for your staff, students, and parents.

In addition, for each software program sold the school district receives
a rebate  that will be used to fund technology teacher training and/or
mini-grants.

For Teachers and Staff: Your email address is proof that you are an
employee. There is a
short registration process in order to start ordering software (limit
one copy per software
title). Use your work email address to register.
For Students: Students must "submit proof" in the form of a copy of
their student id or report
card, as examples, to prove they are LCS students to register. A parent
can buy software for
each student in the family (limit of one copy per student per software
title).
