Time is approaching for Griffin's annual Silent Auction which will be held
on February 29 in conjunction with the annual Spaghetti Dinner and Black
History Program.   In order to make this a memorable event, the PTO is in
need of more parent volunteers.  The task at hand is to solicit gifts and
items from vendors for the silent auction.  Proceeds from the Silent
Auction will be used to support the educational programs at Griffin Middle
School.  We have a long tradition of great parental support of the Silent
Auction and we look forward to its continuation.  Volunteers will also be
needed to help set up and run the auction.  If you are available to
volunteer in one of these areas, please contact Mrs. Lewis at 488-8436.

A gentle reminder: Volunteers, please remember to stop by the school's
front office and record your hours on the appropriate log.  The semi-annual
report was submitted on January 17, 2008.  We would like for our records to
adequately reflect the time our volunteers dedicate to working in our
school.  Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
