The PTO is excited to announce our RAM FAM giving campaign. TODAY through Friday we are sponsoring a giving campaign in hopes of raising over $6,000. Funds will also be used for student activities, and teacher supplies.
At approximately 7:25 am this morning, our cafeteria staff discovered a small oven fire while preparing breakfast for our students. The Leon County Fire Department was called and our before-school students were evacuated from the campus. The fire was quickly extinguished and before school students returned to campus.
Thanks to a partnership with the Foundation for Leon County Schools and the Comcast Foundations, Raa Middle School will be offering a very special program for our parents. This course will range from basic digital skills like creating an email address and safety online, through more advanced skills using tools such as Microsoft Excel and Word. We will also be incorporating career readiness skills such as resume building and interviewing to land the perfect job.
Due to anticipated severe weather entering the Leon County area within the next 24 hours, Leon County Schools has made the decision to close schools on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. All afterschool activities will be cancelled for Tuesday as well. Afterschool activities for Monday, January 8 may proceed as scheduled.
