Not the way any of us expected to end this school year, I hope that you and your love ones are all safe and healthy.

Dr. Burch has just announced procedures for returning school materials next week, and that includes chorus uniforms and music. Ladies, please wash your dress and put it on a hanger. Gentlemen, if at all possible please try to have your tux dry cleaned, if you cannot then please make sure that it is on a hanger and that your tie and cummerbund are with it. Everyone please put a piece of tape or paper on

What a lousy way to end a school year…

I really miss you all and I’m having a difficult time believing that we won’t have any more concerts this year. Since you need a grade in order to get credit, I need to give you some online assignments but I promise that it won’t be overwhelming. First, if you have not made your way to Microsoft Teams I need you to go and send me a little message so that I know we are connected. I will start posting assignments tomorrow so that is your entire assignment for this week,

This message is for the students/parents of 1st period Women's Chorale and 6th period Freshman Girls Chorus.

Back in the fall I told the ladies that we have been invited to sing with the FSU Women's Glee as their Adopt-a-Choir on their spring concert. This concert will have three out of school rehearsals and students were given the dates last month. In order to participate in this concert students must attend at least two of the rehearsals. Rehearsals will be in the choral room at FSU which is in the College of Music. I will be outside the building before

Starting tomorrow evening the Lincoln Choral Department will present our annual Spring Musical. The production this year is The Who's Tommy and our students are excited to finally perform in front of an audience. Since I became the choral director at Lincoln I have never sent home boxes of candy or brochures with overpriced items for students to sell as a fundraiser, I have made the musical our fundraiser. Please support our choral program by coming out to an amazing musical put on by some even more amazing students. General admission tickets are $8 in advance ($10 at the door)

Welcome back to the 2019-20 Lincoln Chorus! I'm so excited about all of the things that we are doing this year, so many amazing musical opportunities are going to happen this year. I have attached a copy of the chorus calendar for the year but there are a few concerts that we are still waiting to schedule, as soon as I confirm those dates I will send them out through the Listserv. Please understand that performance is an important component of being in a choir and that our concerts are tied to the students grades. If you know right now

Here is the lunch rehearsal schedule for next week for those students going to Candlelight. If you have not brought in a flash drive for PDF's/MP3's, please bring one ASAP. Songs do not need to be memorized (yet...) but you need to be solid on your part.

This message is for the students and parents in Women's Chorale (2nd
period) and Continental Singers (5th period).

As I announced several weeks ago, the Lincoln Choral Department is proud to
have been invited again this year to be a featured choir in the Candlelight
Processional and Massed Choir at EPCOT. Our students will have an
opportunity to sing with the Walt Disney World Orchestra, the Voices of
Liberty and guest narrator Whoopi Goldberg on Friday, Dec. 5 during the
5:00pm show. Auditions for this show are very competative, so we are
excited for this great event.

Here are some really important things you need to know....

First and foremost, we are so saddened by the passing of one of our chorus
students, Moriah Christy. Moriah was a junior and has been in chorus at
Lincoln all three years and we grieve with her family during this difficult
time. We are a family, and family takes care of each other, so we will be
collecting money and making a donation through Lincoln High School to her
family. if you would like to be a part of helping out, you can bring in
money and I will collect

Call time for students is 5:45pm and they just need to wear black, not
their chorus uniform. Please do not go out and buy something just for this
concert, find something in your closet and make it work. Men can wear
their tux pants if they do not have other black pants.

November for our show that will run March 12-14, I wanted to send a quick e-

Avenue Q opened in 2003 and ended up becoming one of the few musicals to
win the Tony Triple Crown (best book, best score, best musical). To show
how important the show is, one of the musicals that it beat was "Wicked".

This is a reminder about our rehearsal tomorrow from 9-11:30 in the chorus
room. Only 3 ladies have told me about schedule conflicts so I expect to
see everyone in the morning. Don't forget, I'll have pizza for lunch
following the rehearsal. If you are watching a sibling tomorrow please
bring them with you, I will have a TV and DVD player set up with movies
for them to watch so you can sing and they can keep busy. We have two
guests clinicians coming in so be on time.

Our Advanced Women's Chorale has been asked to be a featured performing
choir at the Florida American Choral Directors Association Fall Concerence
November 4 at Seminole State College in Sanford, FL. This is a tremendous
honor and we are one of only 3 choirs in the state that have been invited
to perform. I know that many of you have been waiting patiently for this e-
